Disability Attorney Fees

There is no fee unless you win.

Social Security Administration sets the limit for how much an attorney can charge, which is no more than 25% of your back benefits upon a successful claim. There is no fee unless you receive benefits.  There are no upfront costs to hire a disability attorney.  In addition to 25% of your back benefits, an attorney may charge you for out-of-pocket expenses for collection of medical records, court filing fees, or evaluations.

When fees are paid

Attorney fees are calculated and paid by Social Security from your back benefits.  After you receive a favorable determination, Social Security provides an award letter.  The notice of award explains all your benefits,  and the amount of 25% that is withheld to pay attorney fees.  Social Security can take several months to pay you and your attorney.

Estate Planning Packages

We offer three levels of planning to suit your various needs.  Whether you are single, married, married with children, or a blended family, we want you to have yourself and your loved ones taken care of. As a new client, we spend a lot of time getting to know you and your family's needs.  We reserve the right to change prices at our discretion.  Prices are estimates only and may be subject to change unless we have entered into a client-attorney agreement.  Your estate plan is unique to you and we don't want you to pay for anything you don't need.  In general, our estate plans cost between $5,000-$7,500.

Trust-Based Plans

For the family or individual who...

Wants the assurance and peace of mind of knowing that their family wealth will be passed on to their children or heirs with the most ease and convenience possible, without court involvement or unnecessary delays.  This is also for those who want lifetime incapacity protection, maintenance of privacy, and the reduction of the financial burdens on their families following their death.

Your plan provides the peace of mind knowing that you have documents that are immediately available to protect you in the event of incapacity.

This plan keeps your loved ones out of court, keeps your affairs completely private, and avoids burdening your family with the costs of probate following your death. Includes revocable living trusts, medical powers of attorney and advanced directives, pour-over wills, and protective provisions for minor children.  Asset transfers (trust funding) will be handled by you, with guidance from us.

Wealth Preservation Planning

For the family or individual who...

Needs sophisticated tools to plan for the transfer of business interests, protection from creditors, creation of additional trusts such as standalone retirement trusts, irrevocable life insurance trusts, and asset protection trusts.

Your plan provides for additional asset protection and sophisticated estate and tax planning strategies.

This plan includes everything in the revocable living trust plan, plus additional trusts or business entities.  Asset transfers will be handled by you, with guidance from us.

Will-Based Plans

For the family or individual who...

Understands that their estate will likely be subject to the legal process called probate if there is a death, wants to guarantee that their minor children are taken care of, wishes to appoint individuals to make medical and financial decisions on their behalf when they are unable to act.

Your plan includes wills, medical powers of attorney and advanced directives, financial powers of attorney, and protective provisions for minor children.

You wills may be drafted to create trusts at your death to protect property, accounts, and other assets for the people you love.

Supplemental Estate Planning Tools

We provide additional planning tools that may be added-on to a will-based or trust-based plan, or selected as a stand-alone service.

Paying For Your Plan

You can choose a payment plan that works for you.  Some clients pay half upfront, and half at signing.  Some clients pay a small portion monthly.  If you stretch out your payments, it will take longer to complete your plan.  You will not receive the final documents to sign until all payments are made.  A longer payment plan creates a risk that something might happen to you before your plan is complete.

We recognize the tremendous need for estate planning.  No one wants to pay more than they have to and everyone wants the best value for their money.

We understand that hiring an attorney to prepare your estate plan is a investment.  The cost of an estate plan will be significantly less than the cost of not planning.  Most people pay less for an estate plan than a family vacation on a moderate budget.
